The American Cancer Society National Prostate Cancer Roundtable (ACS NPCRT) was established in 2024. The ACS NPCRT is a national coalition of member organizations united to advance national priorities in prostate cancer by promoting evidence-based strategies and catalyzing policy and patient care solutions. The American Cancer Society provides organizational leadership and expert staff support to the ACS NPCRT.

The ACS, in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), launched its first roundtable, the ACS National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable, in 1997. Since then, ACS has worked with partners to establish the ACS National HPV Vaccination Roundtable (2014), the ACS National Lung Cancer Roundtable (2017), and the ACS National Navigation Roundtable (2017). In October 2022, the ACS launched the ACS National Breast Cancer Roundtable and the ACS National Roundtable on Cervical Cancer in response to the Biden Administration’s Cancer Moonshot. The ACS is a member organization of the roundtable and provides backbone support to the ACS NPCRT, meaning ACS provides organizational leadership, resources, and expert staff needed to convene and coordinate participating organizations to align the work of the group.

The ACS uses the collective impact model as a framework that supports the evaluation of its Roundtable model. The definition of collective impact is a network of community members, organizations, and institutions who advance equity by learning together, aligning, and integrating their actions to achieve population and systems-level change. The collective impact model has five key components: the common agenda, shared measurement, mutually reinforcing activities, continuous communication, and backbone support.

Individuals and organizations are welcome to join more than one ACS Roundtable. However, separate membership applications and notice of acceptance are required for each ACS Roundtable.

There are no dues associated with ACS NPCRT membership.
