Dr. Heath serves as the Associate Center Director of Translational Sciences, leads the Genitourinary Oncology Multidisciplinary Team at the Karmanos Cancer Institute, and is professor of Oncology at Wayne State University School of Medicine (WSUSOM).

As the Patricia C. and E.Jan Hartmann Endowed Chair for Prostate Cancer Research, she is focused on conducting clinical and translational research trials in genitourinary oncology with critical attention to the area of health disparity, particularly with regard to the poor accrual of minority patients to prostate cancer clinical trials.
